Below, please
find a complete list of the upcoming sheriff sales in Brown
County. All sales, unless otherwise noted, take place every
Wednesday at 10 a.m. in the Truttman Conference Room, which is
located on the first floor of the Brown County Sheriff’s
Department, 300 E. Walnut Street, in the city of Green Bay. Sales
are subject to cancellation or adjournment without notice. Please
remember that the Sheriff’s Department cannot give legal advice.
Procedure
Bidders are required to have 10% of their bid in cash, money order
or certified check at the time of the sale.
(All money orders and
certified checks involving Sheriff Sales are
be made payable to
the “Brown
County Clerk
of Courts”.)
The balance is due at the time of the confirmation hearing. The
court has the final say in all sales.
Opening bids
are usually made by the plaintiff or their attorney. Once
the
opening bid is made, others are welcome to bid on the
properties.
The property will go to the highest bidder.
Reminder:
Successful bidders are also responsible for all legal
liens,
encumbrances and unpaid real estate taxes.
All properties
are sold as is and are not available for viewing. To
find out
information regarding the property, you can contact the
Brown
County Register of Deeds, Brown County Treasurer’s Office,
and
Brown County Clerk of Courts. If you have a serious interest in
a
property, you may desire to contact a title company or an attorney
to perform a title search. For further questions regarding the
legalities of purchasing a foreclosed home, please contact an
attorney that specializes in foreclosures.
